Default What's the difference in iOS 4.0 and iOS 3.1.3?

I have an iphone 3G on iOS 4.0 w/ multi-tasking enabled. It kind of runs like sh1t, even when not multi-tasking. I'm considering downgrading back to iOS 3.1.3 and then running multfl0w + backgrounder. What's new in iOS 4.0 over iOS 3.1.3 that I will lose by downgrading?

EDIT- Also, will I lose the push notifications when an app is closed?

Yeah, if you want stability and speed, you should go back to 3.1.3. You don't really lose much as the folder options can be substituted by categories in 3.xx.
You get true multitask from Multiflow and backgrounder too.
And a couple of things like emails and wallpapers.

A couple drawbacks with Multiflow instead of the iOS multitasking is battery. Here are a list of the iOS 4.0 features that you may lose or require Cydia addons to emulate:
    Multitasking
    Folders
    Inbox threading & delete all
    Creating Playlists within music app
    Location tagged on pictures
    Bluetooth keyboard support
    Char count in SMS

Like I said, many of those can be emulated but that's what iOS 4.0 brought

BossPaper provides wallpapers (1 or more) in a light-weight app with no Winterboard.

Sounds like I might as well just downgrade from the sound of this (the only worthwhile losses I can see here are multitasking and folders, both of which can be emulated from cydia apps)... Will I still get push notifications when an app is completely closed and the phone is locked?

This makes me wonder why I ever updated to ios 4.0 in the first place. All it really did was make my phone run sh1ttier, and anything worthwhile that ios 4 has can be emulated through cydia apps. Not to mention a lot of the good themes don't work on ios 4.

Well. One major difference would be that you can have wallpappers and multitasking enabled using less space, would be faster, Less need to dowload, and the fact that it makes 3.0 look like crap. update.
Well. Dont update to 4.3.2 because its been giving problems to Jailbroken and unJailbroken Devices... -___-
