Observations:
1) The first time redsn0w 0.9.4 ran and it seems to do something but nothing happened when my phone started up.
2) I cleaned up some apps so i can see new apps in my last page. Cydia was not there.
3) I then run redsn0w 0.9.4 again (second time) and this time it did what its supposed to do. I got Cydia now.
Now reading more on ultrasn0w.. Is this an app for windows or an app via Cydia.. ?
Run Cydia for the first time, say Yes to Make my life easier, then all future shsh blob will be saved by Cydia server.
Now update Cydia Complete and search ultrasn0w to install, your bb is unlockable.
Once install, you can use any GSM sim card from all over the world on this iphone.
In order to preserve this unlockable baseband, only restore to custom firmware for future update, do not restore to stock firmware as it will update your baseband and eventually lose your ability to unlock.
Do you have 4.2.1 shsh blob, you need that to be able to restore to 4.2.1 ?
You must update your itunes to the latest first.
Run redsn0w 0.9.6 RC6, browse to stock 4.2.1 ipsw , check only the box dfu mode.
Once DFU is achieved, your iphone has a black screen
Now run itunes : shift + restore to cfw of 4.2.1
If you have 4.1, then you should have anything > 4.1 as Cydia will save all future shsh blobs eventhough you are not at it.
I suggest you create a custom firmware of 4.3.2 from Snowbreeze 2.6 and restore to it.
Unlock with Ultrasno0w again from Cydia.
I have a feeling the 4.1 is not the blob for this iphone. If you just did your 3.1 jailbreak for the first time, then you only have 4.3.2 blob.
In your latest version of TU, with your iphone plug in, highlight your device name on the left side and click save shsh.
Tell me what blob you see in TU
