Default sn0wbreeze stopped at DFU, manual jailbreak using Itunes next step???

Hi guys. I successfully modded my I4 using redsn0w. I then restored it back to factory, unjailbreaked it. That wasn't easy too until I figured it out...kinda. I did it but not sure why it worked (edited the host file to remove apple.com), anyway, I want to enable multitouch gesturing which is in sn0wbreeze but not redsn0w. I'd like to see how I can JB with sn0wbreeze anyway.

I've tried it twice and both times, sn0wbreeze freezes when I finished making a custom IPSW. Does sn0wbreeze modify the apple IPSW when it is making the custom IPSW? If so, then I dont really need to complete the sn0wbreeze install and I can just manually install the custom IPSW using itunes, right???

All cfw will preserve bb and also install cydia when restored. Don't know what you mean by modifying apple ipsw.

Basically after snowbreeze makes the custom ipsw, can I finish the jailbreak by restoring my iPhone with the custom ipsw using iTunes, since snowbreeze stops after making the custom ipsw.

use iReb R4, to put the phone in DFU mode again, hold shift and load custom firmware to restore the phone.

It would probably be beneficial for you to be able to have sn0wbreeze completely finish making the custom firmware before you try to restore to it. A corrupt firmware (such as one made by sn0wbreeze that didn't get to complete or the program froze along the way) could potentially brick your phone (worst case scenario). But it will likely just fail to initialize the restore anyhow.

Exactly what Annie had said, your custom fw must be completed with success before you restore to it. Don't even try to restore a corrupted cfw , you will either brick your iPhone or end up in recovery mode
