Jailbroken iPhone 3Gs won't complete restore from 4.1 to 4.3.2 BRICKED!

Hey all.

Can someone help me believe I didn't truly brick this thing?

Steps I've done: (I am on a Mac btw, but also have access to PC)

1. My jailbroken iPhone 3Gs was on 4.1. I put the phone into DFU mode and tried to upgrade to firmware 4.3.2 Phone won't complete restore and becomes stuck with a frozen progress bar.
2. Tried Blackrain while it was in restore to push it through but didn't work.
3. installed libUSB 10.6 and tried the iRecovery method. Got all the way through the process but when i typed "exit" it didn't say process completed and nothing happened. Tried it several times.

Noodled around with a couple other methods but to no avail.

Phone will turn on and go the the apple but won't come out of recovery mode.

Can anyone help and talk me through it like I'm a newbie? :-)

Do you have wifi sync installed on your computer? If you have please uninstall it and restore again to 4.3.2
