Should I upgrade my i4 from 4.1 to 4.2.1 or newer?

Hello everyone

I have a GSM i4 on 4.1 thats JB and Unlocked.

I have about 100 apps and tons of cydia apps/extensions including winterboard, etc... blah blah blah

A few of my friends run newer OSs and their phone seems to be a lot smoother and faster than me and I am getting the itch to upgrade to a newer OS in hopes of getting a smoother phone.

My question to you guys is this: should I upgrade? will i retain my ability to unlock? will all my cydia apps continue to work? is it worth it? If I choose to upgrade, which version will be best?

Do they run the same amount of stuff you do? Same amount of winterboard stuff/extensions/etc?
You can retain your baseband (I'm assuming 1.59.00?) if you make a custom ipsw to restore to.
Do you have SHSH saved? You can't restore to anything other than 4.3.2 unless you have those.
No idea if all your cydia apps will work, some definitely don't work with anything newer than 4.2.1. So I'd say 4.2.1 would be your safest option given the large amount of cydia apps you run.

Try the 4.2.1 IOS then. use snowbreeze 2.2.1 to create the ipsw and restore using it to keep your current baseband.

Followed the instruction but now I'm stuck in Pwn'd DFU mode.....

I downloaded 4.2.1 and snowbreeze 2.2.1, chose baseband preservation mode, and got a new ipa.

started the tss server, tried to do a custom restore, got error 1600. downloaded ireb and then tried again.

I installed the custom ipa properly but phone wont get out of pwnd dfu mode....

tried tinyumbrella to no avail.... please help
