iPhone 4 stuck in recovery loop after downgrading from 4.3.2 to 4.3.1
hi,
i have a problem with my iPhone 4. i accidentally upgraded to official 4.3.2 today and i wanted to downgrade back to 4.3.1. i don't need an unlock so the baseband update doesn't matter. after i restored my iphone to 4.3.1 by using tinyumbrella the phone was stuck in recovery mode. now here is my problem: neither tinyumbrella nor recboot can kick my phone out of the recovery loop. i tried everything, i rebooted my mac, i tried in DFU mode, i restored to 4.3.1 again changing the "hosts" file in /etc/ but nothing works. now i'm stuck with 4.3.2 and can't downgrade. does anyone have the same problem or a solution maybe? i'm going to try tomorrow and downgrade to a different firmware, maybe 4.2.1 or 4.3.
it'd be much appreciated if anybody could help me on this.
thanks.

If it's untethered JB you want, try redsn0w rc14

Otherwise, putting your phone into DFU mode properly should do the trick along with running TSS server. Did you try using redsn0w to assist with putting it in pwned DFU mode?

go to tiny umbrellas site. download fix recovery from it. unzip the package. place phone in dfu mode. run the file with 43 in the name from the package.

Stuck in Recovery
Did you try editing the HOST file.... i was also stuck in recovery. I edited the host file and directed iTunes to apple server. Worked fine.
"In host file delete the line that says gs.apple.com"
PLEASE DONT DO IT IF YOU RELY ON UNLOCK!
BY DOING THIS YOU WILL UPGRADE YOUR BASE BAND.Last edited by mannvicky; 04-20-2011 at 02:36 PM. Reason: Automerged Doublepost
