iPhone 3GS upgrading problem
Hiyah!
I'm trying to upgrade my iPhone 3GS from 4.3 to 4.3.2 so I can have it replace by Apple for battery problem. I'm getting the This device isn't elligible for this... error.
I tried with TinyUmbrella but couldn't get to 4.3.2 as Apple asks to be on the latest firmware (saying it could fix my battery problem...
yeah right!)
Is there a way to restore to factory default settings and erase all jailbreaking data on my iPhone?

Yes you can go to settings->general->reset-> erase all content and settings. There are more than a few people getting that error this morning. I wonder if apple is down right now.

The problem is: I can't update to apple's official firmware and I need to so I can exhange my still-under-warranty iPhone for a new one...
Edit: And I don't mind upgrading BB or losing everything I own...

NO!!!!!!!!!!!
Don't do it. A jb'd phone will freeze and require an update.
Try restoring instead of updating.
Power off iphone, start iTunes, hold the Home button while plugging into computer. iTunes will find the device in Recovery Mode. Restore it
Note: Did you ever have TinyUmbrella on the computer? If so, the hosts file could be incorrectly set. Comment (or delete) anything related to gs.apple.com.

Been there, done that. I had to use TinyUmbrella to downgrade from 4.3.1 to 4.3 but I couldn't normally update after to 4.3.2. iTunes showed This device isn't elligible for the requested build.
Isn't there a way to completely remove all jailbreak so I can exhange it to Apple?

^I've got an idea. It's under warranty right? So if the phone won't boot, it will still be exchanged?
Go ahead and 'Erase all content and settings' ... this will erase a lot (maybe everything) and put the phone in a necessary restore state. Go to the Apple store -- they can't boot it to check if it's jb'n

If they want to check, they must figure out a way to restore it ... and then it's clean
. So you're good to go.

Seriously, it's a good idea. Will they be 100% unable to restore it?

^They can always find a way to restore it .......
But don't sweat it. They're NOT going to spend a lot of time trying to determine IF it's been jb'd. Just be cool and say 'it won't boot'. Help me please ......
And have you heard .... jb'ing is legal ??? Don't tell Apple that
Don't even talk about it. Be silent, and dumb. My phone won't boot.

^My suggestion, return to iTunes and load the current version. This is the one sure thing .... used 'when all else fails'. If it doesn't work, very likely a different problem exists (computer, cable, USB port, etc, etc)
Note: Recently, Apples servers were unavailable, maybe it was a down when you tried to restore.
