So I purchased a used 32GB iPhone 3GS that was unlocked. I wanted to start over so knowing me I did the delete all in the iPhone settings and now my iPhone gets stuck at the apple logo and the loading circle freezes.
Now this was unlocked by the seller so I don't have any SHSH blobs to try and restore too so all I have is iTunes. I've managed to get the phone in DFU mode and hooked up to iTunes... I click restore and after verifying it says I'm unelegible to restore. Then I got a 4.1 firmware and did an alt restore and selected that specific firmware and it just gives me a 1604 error.
Any help would be greatly appreciated on how I can get this back up and running. Let me know if you need further details. Im unaware of what firmware it was running while jailbroken.
I've also tried ISPW's... ive used the following...
4.1.0 (3GS): iPhone2,1_4.1_8B117_Restore.ipsw
Perhaps I just need to find the right IPSW to restore it too... that sound correct?

Yep. Firmware error. I would double check what device you have and make sure you download the correct fw for your device. Dont get it mixed up with 3G. Google iclarified where to download firmware files and they are all there for all devices.
Help ! I am on 4.0.1 and I want to upgrade to 4.3.1 but everytime I am in recovery mode and I do shift+recovery and chose the original IPSW the error 3194 comes. I've searched how to resolve it. I did the whole Cwindows\system32 etc thing with the hosts folder and I even tried it at DFU mode. How can I upgrade to 4.3.1 ? Any help is appreciated
