    Default Bricked iphone please help!

hi, my name is Pete and im knew to the forums here. so i bought my gfs broken 3gs, fixed and then i updated and jb/unlocked a few times. i was primarily using it as a secondary phone then i decided i wanted to sell it. like the genius that i am i erased all the data on my iphone will being jb. of course it wont fully boot up now. ive tried everything to get it to work. i know my only option is to restore it in itunes but i keep getting error 2005. i also switched the usb port i was using and still had the same problem. im also using the oem sync cable if that helps. im stuck and i dont know what else i can do. any help whether it works or not is greatly appreciated.

It's not bricked. Search on google for usbview or take a look at device manager once you connect your phone to the computer.

If my assumption is correct you are in DFU loop. The phone fails to boot because the bootloader is messed up.

You can use tinyumbrella to try to kick it out of recovery loop. Afterwards you should see the connect to iTunes message and restore the firmware.

have you tried putting it into DFU and restoring to 4.3.1 ?

Make sure that in tiny umberella you have unchecked save my host files to Cydia on exit. Then apply and close tiny and do a shift restore to a stock 4.3.1 (download one)

Then you can re jailbreak with redsn0w or you could make a custom 4.3.1 with sn0wbreeze. but once again make sure that you are not asking tiny for the host file
