help trying to jb 3g 4.2.1

hey guys, been trying to jailbreak a 3G using version 4.2.1, tried using Redsn0w 0.9.6rc8 as said in another spot but I have no luck with this. any help at all would be greatly appreciated.

Will try this today, redsnow has not een able to verify my 4.2.1 ispw file for some reason, I will delete and redownload it and try again exactly as the article suggests

Or why not just make a 4.3.1 custom firmware and update that badboy
