Default Using a UK iPhone on T-Mo USA.

As I understand it, a US iPhone won't get 3G on T-Mobile USA as the HSPDA / UMTS that T-Mobile uses is on a different frequency (1700/2100MHz) than the one that AT&T uses (1900MHz).

The major players in the UK that carry the iPhone all use 2100Mhz for their 3G network.

Is there anything else that would prevent a UK iPhone (factory or ultrasn0w unlocked) from getting 3G on T-Mobile in the USA?

All iPhones are the same, minus the Verizon one. Meaning they all use the same frequency. So the UK iPhone is the same as the ATT phone. But T-Mobile US network uses a different frequency than T-Mobile UK's network uses.

Are you saying that despite T-Mo USA also having 2100MHz, they utilize the 1700MHz wavelength primarily?

On another note, will the AT&T iPhone work with the 2100MHz 3G wavelength used in the UK?

T-Mobile USA uses the 1700/2100 MHz AWS Band for its 3G network
AWS band is only used in the United States and Canada.
