Need help!

Hey guys,

Here is what is going on. I wanted to update my phone to 4.3.2 from 4.2.1 but the thing is every time it gets to a certain point it gives me a 1013 error! I don't get why this is happening if all I am trying to do is update my phone regardless if I loose my jailbreaks!

Open tiny umbrella, click on advanced. Deselect the box that says set hosts to cydia on exit. Then close tiny umbrella and try the restore again.

I assume you are on official carier right?

Yes I am with at&t. I wanted to updated since 4.3.1 but itunes would not let me. and now it seems that they have a new update 4.3.2

Have you run Tiny Umberella in the past ?

1013 is a host error

So run tiny umbrella and make sure that the set hosts to cydia is unchecked on the advanced tab

You can still restore to 4.3.1 right now, just manually download a copy of 4.3.1 and shift/option restore to it in iTunes. Make sure you save your 4.3.1 SHSH now too.

Yes thats right. only uncheck it when you want to do a clean restore or update i.e from APPLE

Ok I unchecked it am I missing something like start TSS servers because it just gave me a 1013 again

are you on 4.3.1 now ?

Do you have an original sim card in ? if so got to settings > general > reset and reset network settings

I am restoring now when I finish all I have to do is jailbreak it with redsnow? then save my shsh again?

Yes jailbreak with redsn0w if you got it on 4.3.1 and save you shsh.

Normally 4 or 5 days but as long as you have 4.3.1 saved with Tiny you can restore to the firmware

Okay JB is flawless! My only problem is this!

When cydia is opened it says SHSH:iOS 4.2.1,4.3b1
Why does it say that if I am on 4.3.1?

Secondly when I went to save the SHSH it doesn't save 4.3.1
any thoughts?

What SHSH you have have nothing to do with what firmware you are on. Not sure why you cant save 4.3.1 SHSH. Maybe try again with tiny umbrella, if it still isnt saving change the setting in advanced to ask for SHSH from Apple instead of cydia.

Im on 4.3.1

And I just opened TU to try and save it and its not saving it
