Hi,
I hope there is someone here who knows my hopefully trivial problem.
I have tried to jailbreak my iphone 4 that initially has been locked to at&t. First I used the latest version of ultrasn0w and it worked fine until I put my new providers sim card in and it does not find more than 1 bar of network - you can not call because all calls fail. I then tried to start over, restored it back to Apple standard fw 4.3.1 with itunes. Then I tried with latest version of pwnage tool, which also ran through fine, however, the problem with the network is still there.
Just to clarify, what i am trying to accomplish is to be able to use a non at&t sim card in the phone.
Any ideas?
baseband is anyway: 4.10.01 and firmware is 4.3.1
Ultrasn0w does not work on current basebands. If your willing to put up 175$ average there is a news article that was posted yesterady about a factory unlock. But other than that it is waiting for an unlock to come.
Ok thank you!
Any indications on when something should be coming out ? and also i had this phone on contract with att and paid an early termination fee to get out of the contract - i assumed they would unlock the phone for, but neither apple nor att are willing to unlock and have basically told me i have a useless device. Any knowledge whether this is the official position or is there a way to get them to help?
In the US Apple nor ATT will unlock an iPhone. Almost any other phone ATT will unlock but not the iPhone.
As for software unlock, like ultrasn0w, they have not given any info on if they had new unlock or anything. Also I am not sure how long this "factory unlock" thing we reported will stay open either as nobody is sure if Apple is happy about it or not or the method of which the company is using to unlock people's phones.
