Need Help --> Jailbreaking & Unlocking iphone 3G for Windows

I have a iPhone 3G on the 4.1 firmware. Baseband is 05.14.02 and is a model # that starts with MB. It has never been jailbroken or unlocked before. Can you give tell me if this phone can be jailbroken and unlocked? If so, can you give me instructions on how to do this for a Windows user? I imagine I will need to redsn0w. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

jailbroken -> yes, redsn0w 0.9.5b5 could jb that IOS version.
unlocked -> with the current baseband installed, no.

at this time, call your carrier and ask for an unlock. Use Gevey Sim. There are various people in unlocking section able to do this for your for various amounts. Or upgrade to ipad baseband using redsn0w, and then unlock with ultrasn0w (tread with caution, read about it first)

Is upgrading to the ipad baseband the only option I have at this time? I know about the pros and cons and have read about it. Does anyone know if an unlock for baseband 05.14.02 is near?

nobody knows, and it's the only free option at this time (unless your carrier will do it for free)

I am with T-Mobile. Do you know if they even do an unlock for iphones right now?

I have heard that they do not, AT&T is the only US carrier to do so at this time? I am in Canada so I don't speak from experience.
