Default Help! iPhone 3GS is stuck in DFU mode after 4.3.1 upgrade

    Hi!
I'm pulling my hair out trying to figure this one out. I have a iPhone 3gs (oldbootrom) the was running 4.2.1 with BB 06.15. When I attempted to upgrade to 4.3.1 using snowbreeze 2.5.1, I got stuck in DFU mode after the JB was complete and now I'm just looking at a black screen. I have tried Tiny Umbrella, iREB, and fixrecovery43 and got the phone to load greenpoison, it just went right back to DFU mode right after. I really need to get this working today, because I use this phone for work.

By the way I have SHSH files for 4.1 only and under Tiny Umbrella it says "my device is not connected"

    Please Help! thanks

Have you tried running redsn0w and see what happens? If the phone is still in DFU then redsn0w would be able to talk to the phone and do it's thing.

When you say use Redsnow, what do you mean exactly? Which option do I choose? Install Cydia? Please advise

Yes, you can choose to install cydia. It should upload data to the phone and try to reboot it normally.

    OK, I'm trying it now

Awesome it worked, so I just need to activate with an AT$T Sim card now and install Ultasn0w then I should be good to go?

I'm up and running again, thanks again for all your help. really appreciate it!
