Need help recovering contacts from my backup file.

Ok guys, heres what i did. I did a jailbreak on my iphone and restored it using the wrong ipsw. I lost all my contacts, sms, photos ect... the backups are still on my computer. I know how to ssh things onto the phone, my problem is that I don't know which files are my contacts within the backup on my computer. The filenames are just garbled crap (ect. 029jafou3uo9aljJ#ALKJW%J9a87u). I need help. Does itunes lable these files a specific way or are they just randomized crap.

You couldn't just right click device in iTunes and select restore from backup?
