    Default How to jailbreak from 4.1 to 4.2.1?

    I have a jailbroken and unlocked Iphone 3G at cfw 4.1 with a baseband of 05.12.01. I want to try it and Compare performance.

    I was wondering what is the best way to update to 4.2.1 while being able to unlock as well as preserve baseband?

    Also why does it say in cydia that 4.0.2 isnt supported when even 4.1 is supported nowadays.

    Same thing like what you did for 4.1, restore to cfw of 4.2.1 created by PT 4.2 or SB

    Yes , as long as you restore to cfw, your bb is being preserved for unlock by ultrasnow

    Well thats weird...

    A quick google search for instructions came up to these instructions;
    1.get fw 4,2.1 and redsnow 9.6b6
    2.update to 4.2.1 via itunes
    3.use redsnow to jb and MUST update to ipad baseband if you want to unlock

    What the hell i dnt want to change my bb
