Trouble with Cydia not showing me updates

A few days ago, I noticed that the changes tab in cydia was not updating. After finding no solutions to the problem online I resorted to a restore. This worked temporarily. I've now restored more times than I care to count.

I've been installing these apps

Animate
iFile
InfiniFolders (paid)
NES.emu (paid)
NES A.D. + (ad version)
SNES A.D. + (ad version)
Snes9x EX
OpenSSH
SBSettings

I have not added anymore repos yet. Just the above items

I have used these before but haven't gotten to them yet since the problem keeps occuring

I've also tried using a few different apps to display my iPod screen on my tv such as

TVOut2 Mirror TVout
Display out


I am on iOS 4.2.1 with a green pois0n jailbreak I'm ready to pull my hair out because of this issue. If anyone can point me in the right direction, I would greatly appreciate it as it's a bit time consuming adding 1300+ songs and 4gigs of apps and games.

now with the above apps installed some changes are showing. BigBoss repo however is not showing anything.

I tried deleting it, and SSH'ing it back in. Nothing.

Use green poison and install it again

I've tried that at least 12 times this weekend without positive results. It used to work just fine.

If you're restoring from back up the problem will likely always return.

That's just it though, I'm not. I'm doing a fresh restore everytime

I'm going to deduct that it's either something you use in Cydia isn't compatible with your device or firmware version, or it's your device itself.

Now this is just confusing me. I added modyouri last night and installed the SBAdBlockToggle, so the changes from modyouri didn't surprise me.. But now SOME bigboss changes are showing, but I would expect more after 12 hours. Wouldn't you?

I have wondered all of this myself but it was working fine as of Friday, and nothing new had been installed since then. I am not sure what would have changed with my device itself since then.

I did try upgrading to 4.3.1 but quickly reverted back to 4.2.1. Nothing seemed out of the ordinary.
