How to jailbreak and carrier unlock
I have a 3G 8gb that I would like to unlock it. Obviously I will use the jailbreakme.com to get cydia but I want to know how to carrier unlock it?
Specs are as follows:
4.0.1
05.13.04.

Install ultrasnow from cydia after to unlock. Make sure to never update to a regular firmware of 4.1 or above otherwise you will lose your unlock.

make sure the ultrasn0w repo is added in Cydia.
Downlaod and install ultrasn0w from cydia.

Thanks guys! When I use ultrasnow is there a version I should get or no?
Or is it just one version.

You should use the latest pwnagetool from blog.iphone-dev.org and a iphone 3gs 4.3.1 IPSW from felixbruns.de to upgrade your phone to 4.3.1 without breaking unlock,

He has a iPhone 3G, not a 3GS.
