Stuck in recovery mode 06.15.00 HELP

I have an iPhone 3G 8Gb that is on 4.2.1 and has 06.15.00. Well, like an idiot, I tried to restore and it put the phone into recovery mode. I've tried several methods. I had downloaded custom 4.2.1 firmware (I have Mac osx if that matters) and now trying to restore using custom firmware, after pwn DFU with redsn0, iTunes give me a message saying "not compatible" I have also tried tinyumbrella and that does not work. Someone please show me the way! Thanks.

Have you tried "Fix Recovery" (available from the TU website)? Should get you out of that recovery loop.
