I have an old bootrom iphone 3gs on 4.1 and on ipad .06.15.00 baseband. Can I use the new jailbreak or not? If so can someone give me a link of what to do? Thanks.

ultrasnow doesnt work right with 4.3.1 yet. Just stay put for now.

Yes, ultrasnow was updated. You can use pwnage tool or snowbreeze and make a custom 4.3.1 to restore to.

Battery drain problems are normally due to hactivation. You can use SAM to fix that.

The previous jailbreak was the first time I have had battery drain problems. Hopefully I will have luck with the new jailbreak.

I tried to restore using the downloaded custom firmware and I keep getting the 3194 error. What am I doing wrong?

Do you have 4.3.1 SHSH?

I never updated to 4.3.1 im still on 4.1. Do I need to update through itunes then save through tiny umberella?

Nope, saving SHSH has nothing to do with what firmware you are on. Press save SHSH in tiny umbrella with your device connected. The SHSH it is able to save are the firmwares that you are able to restore to.

4.2.1 is the highest firmware it saved. Does this mean I cannot use the new jailbreak?

It has 4.2.1 but not 4.3.1? Make sure you have the latest version of tiny umbrella.

it says cydia does not have them and there is no way to get them.

Dang, I guess you missed the window for them then. I would suggest going back to 4.2.1 in that case.

honestly, i dont really need to update. All i really want to do is improve the battery life which lasts for 2-3 hours. I tried SAM but it didnt work, i might have done something wrong. Does SAM for sure work?
