iPhone 3GS 16GB
Fixed bootrom version I believe since it's week 43 according to the serial number
iOS 4.3.1
No SHSH Blobs saved.
Jailbreak attempt with RedSn0w 0.9.6rc9 (the one released by the DevTeam this morning)
I will try to be as descriptive as I can, so bare with me if I go on with a lot of unnecessary information.
This phone was being used by an AT&T user on firmware 4.3, completely locked. In the process to JB it using the RedSn0w released by the Dev-Team this morning, the JB seemed to have been successful.
However, after the phone rebooted, the Cydia icon was missing its logo (it was just a white logo). The application would crash within a second of booting up. After another restore and jailbreak with equal results, we attempted to go to 4.3.1 and jailbreak it with the newer firmware.
While on the first attempt to install 4.3.1, the iPhone crashed and I got error 1015. After a brief search on the error, I was worried as everyone seemed to have more of opinions instead of an actual proven solution.
I'm just trying to help out a friend here. I haven't owned an iPhone in over a year, so I am still catching up with all the basebands and SHSH blobs (have a general idea) and trying to learn as I go, and any help to resolve this to get a clean restore and a fresh jailbreak would be much appreciated.
I'm assuming at this point I'm in a tough spot with the 4.3.1 firmware, no SHSH blobs and already on the iPad baseband from the first jailbreak?
Thank you

Quick update: I tried using IREB to fix this error and still had no luck.
Any suggestions?
Thanks in advance,
E
