Do you think there is any chance of the untethered jailbreak fixing the bug with 4.3.1 and 01.59.00?

I dont think it is a jailbreak issue so not sure if a new jailbreak will fix it.

im having the same problem,update yesterday with custom firmware to 4.3.1 (snowbreze)preserve the baseband (dont need unlocked) and right away I only have 1 bar everywhere, the bar does not go up or down just stays at 1 bar.
So far no drop calls but is just weird.
girlfriends phone next to mine shows full bars ip4 4.1

Well I jailbreak again without baseband preservation and signal bars are back to normal and the AirPlay icon is back in my iPod.
Conclusion ;is keeping the old baseband and upgrading to 4.3.1

Which snowbreeze are you using to jb 4.3.1 is it the beta version one? The bright side is the untethered jb for 4.3.1 is soon to be release!! It's call redsnow not snowbreeze!

Having the same issue. 1 bar, and internet seems extremely slow.

I just download redsnow (new one)and point it at my 4.3.1 firmware that I download for snowbreeze and now I have an untethered jailbreak and all my apps still there,nothing change at all.

MuscleNerd acknowledged this problem yesterday and said they are working on it. It is a bug due to the 4.3.1 jailbreak running on the old 1.59 baseband. You just have to wait till they release a fix.

@MuscleNerd @iphone_dev Just successfully JB IP4. Everything looks fine except there is only 1 signal bar. Is this normal?

@toohtaah you'll see 1 signal bar if using an older BB (cosmetic only). Fix for that will be part of ultrasn0w update (or separate maybe)

It will function but you'll see just 1 bar of signal strength be reported (even though your actual signal strength may be larger). It won't affect your calls, just how strong you think the signal actually is We'll fix that either with ultrasn0w or some separate package (or both).

I updated this morning, Pwnaged 4.3.1 w/ 2.10.04 iphone4 and one bar ONLY no matter what. All is fine except meter is broken. I look forward to a fix.

Same problem here... I updated a while ago from 4.0.2 to 4.1 preserving baseband 01.59.00 and now updated from 4.1 to 4.3.1 preserving the baseband 01.59.00, wherever I go I only have one signal bar, at least voice/data seem to be working fine... hope they come up with a fix tho....

No, my bb is 2.10.04, ultrasnow doesn't unlock that yet, only 1.59

A fix is on the way, according to MuscleNerd. They're just testing it on a few other devices before it's released to the public.

The 4.3.1 issues (signal bars, etc) are fixed Twitpic - Share photos and videos on Twitter but need a few days to test all devices + FW (again: not a new unlock!)

Other tweets and updates worth mentioning:

it'll be an ultrasn0w update in Cydia (and even those with a BB version ultrasn0w can't unlock yet will be

(it will just silently skip the unlock attempt and fix only the signal bars for those users)

It's probably confusing, so worth repeating: this isn't a new unlock. It's a compatibility fix for current unlockers only

(and for those retaining older baseband for resale value even though they don't use the unlock themselves)
