Whatever happene to that "permanent jailbreak?"
Supoosedly "jailbreakme.com" or something like that was suppose to be a permanent JB fix for at least the iPhone 4 because of hardware issues in the phone preventing the exploit from ever being patched by Apple.
So wtf happend? Here we sit months later, still waiting for jailbreaks?
Did someone obviously goof and speak out way to quick or what?"Don't hold it like that!"

There is a bootrom exploit (an unpatchable "in" for the i4 and earlier); it's called limera1n.
Problem is, the limera1n exploit only provides for a tethered permanent jailbreak. The untethering bit isn't permanent, and therefore can be (and has been) patched by Apple very quickly, hence the wait for /untethered/ breaks.

Then it was never a lifetime jailbreak then and should have never been advertised as such. Seems as though someone thought they were a little to good and opened their mouth before really knowing.
All I remember was months ago the people who cracked it were all over the internet about it, for it to only fail...what days later?"Don't hold it like that!"

I don't jb anymore, too much drama associated with it...it's just not worth it to me.
