HELP! iPhone 3GS on 4.1 fw - 6.15 bb

My phone is currently on 4.1 fw with the 6.15 ipad bb

However, I need to get it on 4.2.1

I have tried using iTunes to update to 4.2.1 with a custom 4.2.1 fw but it said that it isn't eligible for that build. I have the latest (10.2.1 itunes)...any help PLEASE!!!

Not much different between 4.1 and 4.2.1, and you can't do anything with the ipad's bb you're stuck there. So what's your purpose going to 4.2.1? Secondly unless you have the 4.2.1 SHSH saved you can't upgrade to it as well!!

You need SHSHs to restore to 4.2.1. If you have SHSHs, then you need a custom 4.2.1 firmware that doesn't package the iPad baseband since you already have the 6.15.00 bb upgrade.

So essentially, find out if you have SHSHs and go from there. If you don't have 4.2.1 SHSHs then you can't do it.
