Error 1600 Fix?
Hey guys, I bought an iphone off eBay that was stuck at the itunes screen thinking I could fix it. I keep getting error 1600. I understand this has to do with the firmware so I have tried using custom firmwares in DFU Mode and everything. I searched the forums, and couldn't find anything. I was wondering if there was anyway I could figure out what the seller was upgrading to or the current firmware is/what baseband it is. If anyone knows where I can start the process into fixing the phone, it will be greatly appreciated. :

1015 is a normal error. You can try using tiny umbrella's "fix recovery" button to exit recovery after that error.
What type of iPhone is this btw 3G or 3GS?

The Firmware Umbrella - TinyUmbrella
Try the fix recovery from here. Not 100% it works on a iPhone 3G though.

can someone help me also. I repeated these steps countless time and I keep getting error either 1600 or 1015.
Here is my situation. I have an iPhone 3Gs that running 3.1.3 and not jail-broken. I then ran redsnow to bring it up to 4.2.1 with redsn0w along with the iPad baseband. Before proceeding to Snowbreeze, my iPhone was running 3.1.3 with the baseband of 06.15.00!! That's wierd because it should be 4.2.1 after I jailbroke with redsn0w. Nevertheless, I Snowbrezzed it, followed everystep and this is where I'm stuck with these annoying errors. I tried to do a clean restore with the factory fw 4.3.3 but it's no luck. Please help me, I don't want my iPhone becomes a brick now...

Redsnow does not update firmware. It jailbreaks. Only iTunes can update your firmware. You need to use redsnow and choose the option to enter pwned DFU. Then you can restore to a custom 4.3.3 firmware made with snowbreeze. This is a 3GS right?
