I got the phone off of Emergency Screen and onto Home screen. Now I can't get the phone to go to internet to go to Jailbreakme.com What should I do now? Do I put in the T-Mobile sim or what? I am at least half way there,,,WAyne by the way I restored the phone to backup,,,is that wrong?

I think I should set it up as NEW PHONE, maybe that would be right...then I could get safari....

Also, a new iPhone setup is better for you at this point.

Open TinyUmbrella and click 'Enter Recovery' at the top. I believe it's the middle button.

Then restore like you did a moment ago.

Once your restored again, setup as a new phone this time.

Not a problem. Wish we could've figured it out in a few hours but your situation was tricky! Enjoy!

His fix can be easily done within 2 mins, his iphone is still at 4.0.1 and at emergency screen. All he need is an official sim to trigger into homescreen and use jailbreakme 2.0 from Safari on iphone ( Slide to Jailbreak )

It will work like a Charm.
what exactly do you have to do to get it triggered? I have an AT&T sim in the phone (UL for T-mo currently) but it will "trigger" to anything but the emergency screen. What am I missing??

i followed iYeow's advice on putting the AT&T sim in the phone, starting Tiny Umbrella and clicking enter recovery and then start iTunes and add as new device ad it got my phone out of the locked up emergency screen and into home where I went to Safari and to Jailbreakme.com and got my phone back in working order. I hope this helps you because they were life savers...if you have any questions, ask them both....Wayne

once you put in unused atnt sim, connect to iTunes, it should trigger into homescreen

Not activated yet. once you do your jailbreak and install ultrasnow, with your tmobile sim in it , iPhone should now be activated

You are welcome , most important of all is to get your iPhone back to working condition.

TU did kick it into recovery mode but iTunes will only let me restore and upgrade. It will not go into the home screen, it won't let me set as a new device, nothing. Just staring at me like I'm the idiot I am. Where's the missing link? And yes, I'm using an AT&T sim.
