Help! I think I killed my iPhone!
Gday!
I believe I may have buggered my iPhone, any advice would be great! .... so heres how it went down:
I have a 3GS, locked to an Australian carrier on IOS 4.3 with baseband 5.16.01. My main goal was to jailbreak and unlock. I am now aware that 4.3 unlock only works if your baseband was preserved or upgraded to 6.15, mine was not.
1) I successfully JB'd using pwnage and the unofficial 4.3 bundle and I was able to boot using tetheredboot.
2) I then made the mistake of attempting to unlock with ultrasn0w. The phone still worked but obviously the unlock was not successful (however, the phone no longer informed me of an incompatible sim).
Then it gets wierd.
At some point when I wasn't looking, the phone turned off. I am now unable to turn it on.
It does seem to go into DFU mode, pwnage informs me that it is now in DFU mode. iTunes states that a phone has been detected in recovery mode and must be recovered. Nothing is displayed on the screen at anytime.
3) I used tiny umbrella and clicked fix recovery button. The screen turns white and the recovery message pops up in iTunes a few times. The screen then stays white. I was then able to press the exit recovery button which had no effect. The white screen can be removed by putting it into DFU mode again.
I don't want to attempt a true apple restore because I am already stuck with 4.3 and 5.16.01 and do not wish to be stuck with 4.3.1 SO...
I would like to simply restore it to a standard IOS 4.3 firmware, I have the IPSW for 4.3 and I saved SHSH blobs just after I jailbroke. I have attempted this after modifying my HOSTS file but the phone remains black and iTunes just gives me errors.
Any advice would be great! Please help!
Thanks!

you may not have the blob then, depends on what time you saved it. 4.3 was almost instantly being unsigned as soon as 4.3.1 came out. and to me thats what it sounds like. if the phone goes into a dfu mode loop where it cannot be brought out of it. that is signs that the blob was not saved for that firmware.
but you can try this download the original 4.3 firmware and hold your alt key while clicking restore and selecting the 4.3 firmware you downloaded. while running the tss servers in tiny umbrella.

No, I had a 1016 error I believe, then I tried again and got a 2001 error, oh and a 1600 error!
To clarify:
I get a 1600 error when attempting your suggestion when in DFU mode
I get a 2001 error when attempting your suggestion with the white screen that results from the fix recovery button in TULast edited by SavvyMcB; 03-27-2011 at 12:12 AM.
