Green poison home button issue? Anyone else?
Since I've jailbroke my iPhone 4 (4.2.1) I seem to be running into the common problem of my home button not functioning properly. Not everytime but I would say at least 50% of the time it doesn't register. To wake it up I sometimes have to repeatedly press it 8,9 times before it will respond. Just wondering if anyone else is having these issues? And I havent installed any apps that use the home button for different functions. I thought it was SBSettings so I removed it but it still seems to be an issue.
Any thoughts?

Positive. Started happening right when I did the jailbreak. Never have had a single problem until then.

It may be that the jailbreak messed.up. I would suggest restoring and rejailbreaking as long as u.don't.need an unlock.and have your shsh's saved

I jb with gp and my home button is fine. I'd recommend a restore and test the home button before jailbreaking to be sure it isn't the jailbreak causing the issue.
It could also be an app you have installed in Cydia, but like I said, restore and don't restore from back up but set up as new so that you may test to see if the issue persists without jb.

Ok sorry. I'm an iPhone newb kinda so I apologize ahead of time. With that app from Cydia. Is it fairly simple to use? How does it work?
I want to restore I just dont want to lose my Cydia apps I've paid for.
Thanks!

I meant it could be an app or tweak from Cydia causing your home button problems.
If you restore you can always redownload Cydia apps you've already purchased simply by logging back into your Cydia account.

Right. I plan on trying to restore it to see but I was just concerned with being able to get my Cydia purchases back.

Well I am going to report this. I decided to start going backwards and testing each removal of apps from Cydia. I removed winterboard, no good, then an app that's followed one particular twitter post, no good, then I removed ToneFX and I haven't been having the home button issue since then. Of course it could just be that it is behaving itself for now. So for now it's working. If it stops I'll report back.
Thanks for the help everybody.
