At start, I had a CDMA iPhone 4 on iOS 4.2.6.

It started with when my Cydia stopped working correctly. I decided to restore my iPhone and then downgrade back to iOS 4.2.6 (so I can rejailbreak and NOT be tethered.) I decided to use TinyUmbrella for my downgrade, but when I get my error message (1603) and hit "Fix Recovery" in TinyUmbrella, it doesn't work correctly and iTunes just redetects an iPhone in recovery mode. So I tried RecBoot and it did the same thing. I finally gave up after trying several times and on two separate computers as well and surrendered to simply updating to iOS 4.3 and wait for the untethered jailbreak. BUT now when I try to restore through iTunes, it says "The iPhone "iPhone" can not be restored at this time because the iPhone software update server could not be contacted or is temporary unavailable."

So now I can't restore (through a 3rd-party app OR the official one!) I also tried where you edit the host file in iTunes, but I can't get that to work correctly either.

I simply would like ANY solution! I don't care if it's update to iOS 4.3, downgrade to iOS 4.2.6, I DON'T CARE! I just want a working phone.. :'(
