i havent really been paying much attention to the jailbreak stuff anymore, so i have my iphone 3g, i get my iphone 4 in april then iphone 5 when it comes out, and i am on 4.2.1..... can i use the most current redsn0w to jailbreak it? and what is the current version?

I believe it's like 9.6.8 or something like that. You can also use snowbreeze, greenposi0n, and pwnage tool ( if you have a Mac)

No you can not use gp on a 3G have to use another tool sorry didn't read the discribition well.

No you can use it on 3GS but not a 3G

haha sorry for making that a little confusing.... im just stoked about getting my iphone 4..... the 3G is super slow

Yeah it is the best thing to do with a 3G is drop it down back to 3.1.3 and use jailbreakme.com to jailbreak it. It will run smoother than using 4.XX software

i dont mind it being slow anymore..... i dont really play games on it anymore...... but when it was on 4.0 it ran extremely slow..... but now that i have it on 4.1 and higher there is a substantial speed increase

thats what i used, but it seems a whole lot more buggy then it did when i jailbroke the other day on 4.1.... i might just downgrade
