Then attempt my second advice which is to run greenpois0n on it.

I did and I keep getting plug into itunes on the screen

This is what you want to do:

1) download greenpois0n from the link stray provided above
2) then before opening the program, put your phone into DFU mode, but do not let go of the home button
3) then open greenpois0n and click jailbreak
4) keep holding the home button until all the codes finish and you see the apple logo
