So I have noticed a lack of truly springboard integrated widgets and a fairly sparse selection of springboard customization. This seems to be the trend among android users and I love the availably of widgets available for their version of springboard. I was curious as to wether this was just a lack of interest to create such things or if the springboard application is just to complex to manipulate in that way. And if that's the case, it seems likely to me that with the processing power of the iphour, someone could design a completely new UI running separately from springboard. Or is that impractical. Just pondering. I really like the widgets from android. And would like to see some similar selections for the iPhone springboard. Or perhaps im just missing some critical Cydia sources.
Not so much. I've used lockinfo, cydgets, and Intelliscreen, Most of these are for the lockscreen. I could even settle for lockinfos, infoshade, or existable home screen info page that limits the less than ample selection of widgets to single page vertical scrolling, if there were a larger selection of widgets. Intelliscreen is a shove in the right direction for an "app based widgets displayer" of sorts, but still only a little more than a big notifications page for your phone and a select few apps. I want fully integrated google search bars and contact dial/txt widgets, and rss feeds on every page, SBSettings toggles, and a picture viewer. Real useful widgets that I can place anywhere on my springboard, ya know.
