Default HELP! "The iPhone 'X' cannot be synced. The file format is invalid."

When I connect my iPhone to iTunes, I get this message. It also happened with the last iTunes version, I updated it to 10.2.1.1 but that didn't help.

    - iTunes 10.2.1.1, on Windows 7.
    - iPhone 4 (still on 4.2.1, Update to 4.3 not possible, since it doesn't sync anymore)
    - Greenpoison jailbreak

    Any ideas?
    thanks!

    ps
(iPad, also on 4.2.1 syncs fine)

I'm having the same problem - 1st time syncing since upgrading to 10.2.1.1

    iOS 4.2.1, Greenpoison jailbreak
    Windows 7, 64 bit

If I keep rebooting/syncing, it will get a little further each time before getting the error. Furthest I've been able to get is starting to sync music, but then I get the same error.

Whatever is synced BEFORE the error is fine - ie: contacts, notes and calendars are all updated from phone to PC.

    Default found the problem...

I found the reason, for now - not a solution.

Do you use Mediamonkey (instead of iTunes) for your Music?

I do. And if I delete all audio-tracks from the device the iTunes sync works fine.

As soon as I sync my tracks back to the device (with MM) I get the same error again.

I think it is a problem for the MM-ppl right now. I haven't posted there yet, because I want to try the new beta-version of MM first.

    I'll let you know.

    Cheers

Hmmm... No media monkey here, so doesn't help me.

My phone still works, and everything syncs except music, so I'm not in a dire situation - any other ideas would be appreciated, though!

Restore may be your only option. Enter your iPhone in DFU mode, iTunes should recognise this and make you restore.
