4.2.1 upgrade keeps failing

I have my 4.2.1 SHSH saved and ready to go. I load up tinyunbrella then start the server, I restore in iTunes with 4.2.1 firmware and as it restores I get "Could not restore error 1013". Nothing I do seems to work, I try to use RecBoot but that doesn't work and neither does the option in tinyumbrella to kick it out of recovery. I am able however to restore back to 4.1, but going to 4.2.1 with my saves SHSH keeps failing. I'd really appreciate any help I cant get this to work at all.

Its your hosts. Delete the last line of your hosts. It should be something like "10.248.75.150 gs.apple.com." Delete that entire last line and save the hosts. Then restore as you were previously trying. Should work fine.

I have all the apple lines in my host file gone and it still doesn't seem to work, doesn't tinyumbrella add 127.0.0.1 gs.apple.com when it runs anyway?

What iPhone are we dealing with here (3G, 3GS, 4)?

1013 usually means the baseband didn't get upgraded and the iPhone caught it, throwing the device into a (usually) unbootable Recovery loop.

Try the "Fix Recovery" button in TinyUmbrella (which will require you to enter DFU mode), see if that gets you anywhere.

Its an iphone 4. I seem to be having trouble getting in dfu mode while it keeps going through these endless loops.
