Can't save SHSH
Hi,
I have a ipod touch 2g running the 3.1.2 firmware and I'm trying to save my shsh with little success. I've tried using tinyumbrella and it was only able to save shsh for 4.0, 4.1, and 4.2.1. BUT, not my current firmware 3.1.2...
I get this error message. This device isn't eligible for the requested build.
Any ideas? The make my life easier button isn't in cydia anymore either....
I don't need to restore my ipod, it runs great, but would like to be able to do this in the future.

You can only save SHSH's that are available on Apples current database.
You'll of been able to save 4.0,4.1 and 4.2.1 because they have been automatically backed up as they came out. unfortunately you've long since missed the "opening" time for 3.2.1Being an i can be a lot of pressure. you have to live right up to the small point.

So... I won't be able to restore back to 3.1.2 even though I have that on the ipod right now?
What if I use an old itunes version, from when they didn't do any digital signing stuff?
Also, I have an iphone 3gs. It's on 4.1 and tinyumbrella was able to save shsh's from 3.1.2 through to 4.3. If indeed it's too late as opposed to somehow doing this manually, how was my iphone able to do this?
