This phone was previously jailbroken at 4.2.1 by the previous owner of the phone. I didn't need the the jailbreak anymore, so I just let iTunes (latest version) do a full restore to 4.3.
Unfortunately, I now get a Error 1015 on restore, which I hear is what you get when you try to *downgrade* iOS versions. I don't understand why I'm getting it when I'm upgrading to the latest version.
In any case, the phone appears to be bricked, as by default it boots to the "Connect to iTunes" image, and I can't restore to any version of iOS.
Does anyone have any suggestions? It doesn't look like there is a backup of the SHSH keys for downgrading.
Thanks for any help!
EDIT: The phone is a 3GS. IIRC it has the latest baseband, but I can't boot the phone to check.
