    Default Upgrading Iphone4 from Jailbreakme

I've been reading and trying to sort this out -- I used Jailbreakme on my Iphone 4 and haven't done anything to it since then. I don't need the jailbreak, so I would like to either restore back so that it's not jailbroken anymore (which I tried to do, but iTunes told me that my phone isn't eligible -- I believe this is because Apple isn't verifying 4.0.1). I'm up for doing whichever may be less complicated, which is either to upgrade it and keep the jailbreak, or just do the restore/and upgrade normally through iTunes, but I'm not sure which program to use. Any help would be appreciated -- I'm on a Mac.

No, never saved SHSH -- I'm guessing that's why I can't do the downgrade right?

One last Q -- and thanks for the help -- can I, after saving my SHSHs, run the TSS server, and just simply restore via iTunes regularly? I know this will undo the jailbreak, which is OK with me.

ok actually, that didn't work. it put it into recovery mode -- i tried to restore again, with the TSS server still running and no change.

i ran the TSS server, and then ran restore via iTunes. now the phone is stuck in recovery mode.

Error 9, and now Error 1013 (I believe), but I got 9 like twice in a row.

I'm downloading, per my brother's suggestion, the ipsw for 4.0.1 and am going to just try to restore back to that.
