iPhone 3g stuck in endless restoring cycle

Hi
My iphone 3g, iOS 4.0 once sucessfully jailbroken and unlocked.
Suddenly, one day it lost its WiFi capability. To fix it i re-did the restoring with iTunes, and the phone was stuck in recovery mode (Error 1013). Used iRecovery (tinyumbrella and all that sort of things)and kicked it out of recovery mode. Problem started from there - after the iphone gets out of recovery mode, it keep on "Searchin..." celluar data network, and the IMIE/ICCID number is empty! Next the phone gives message "iPhone needed to be restored..". AND IT IS IN THE SAME LOOP SINCE.
Trust me i know what i am doing (i jailbroken my new iphone 3GS, upgraded to BB 6.15.0, fixed the battery drain issue). BUT with the iPhone 3g I am absolutely lost (i even recovered ICCID number by tiny umbrella).
Would appreciate some technical help here.

Thanks HappyTroller. Tried Pwned dfu, custom firmware sn0wbreeze but no joy. I also tried a clean restore (by default itunes installs iOS 4.1) but that didn't work out. after the restore and using irecovery no IMIE number, no ICCID number like before. Is my phone has turned into a piece of junk?

Try GO into c:/system32/drivers/something i cant remember/etc/hosts open hosts in note and run As administrator. DELETE the Line saying gs.Apple.com something and reboot ur pc and try again Google it for exact instructions cuz im a bad rememberer lol
