Default whats the best method of jailbreaking ios4.2.1 4g itouch?

    im running on window vista
i read the stickied pdf but was outdated

jailbreaking doesnt wipe data does it? it just adds the cydia app icon?

and are there any notable 'con's to jailbreaking other than 'voiding warranty'

    **edit**

ok did some searching looks like greenpois0n 6.1 is the way to go

    my other questions still remain:

    1. does jailbreaking wipe data?

    2. are there any issues with jailbreaking with gp6.1 that would make it advisable to wait for a more stable release?

    3. any cons to jailbreaking

    3. baseband and 'unlocking' only applies to phones right?

    1. Jailbreaking it's self will not delete data unless something goes wrong. It is best to just backup in itunes before, just in case.

    2. Using the latest greenpois0n, you should be fine. Just download it from greenpois0n.com

    3. The only con to jailbreaking is the extra battery that it uses if you install a bunch of backgrounding tweaks.

3 (4). Unlocking only applies to iphones.
