    Default Completely remove jailbreak

    Hello-

I have an inquiry in regards on how to completely remove the jailbreak from my phone. I restored my jailbroken iPhone 3GS in iTunes and during the restore the phone ended up stalling on the emergency call screen and wouldn't continue. I had to use TinyUmbrella's Fix Recovery to complete the restore.

So I'm wondering how I would be able to completely remove any kind of retaining jailbreak from my device so this is not a problem in the future. Thanks a lot for any help you can provide.

If I do this, will I still be able to sync my back-up (like contacts, settings, etc.), after I've restored the device?

yes, whenever you synced last. just instead of going setup as new phone, go restore from previous backup
