    Default Not Able To Restore

I was jailbroken on 4.2.1, i went to sync my iphone 4 to change some movies around and I got an error where it said it couldn't find the specified drive, then i lost all my music and movies. I really dont care about the jailbreak, just wanted my stuff back. So i upgraded to 4.3, I tired restoring all my contacts, movies, music,..and it wont, it did restore my photos but none of the camera roll pics. But if you look at the disk usage, its used about 7gigs. I'm bummed without my email. Need some advice.

    Thanks

I keep getting 1013 restore error, really getting frustrating.

I've tried 3 different machines and still the same problem

Error 1013 is from your hosts pointing to cydia. Open tiny umbrella, click advanced, deselect the box that says set hosts to cydia on exit. Then close tiny umbrella and try the restore again.

I did have to edit the host file and got it restored to 4.3. When I try to restore to get all my contacts and email settings back on the phone, it wont. I need those contacts, the email i can re-setup. Still having issues syncing aps in itunes, stuff ive already paid for. I've never had this issue before. Why does Apple have to make this so difficult? Thanks for the help.

Something sounds corrupt in your backup. Not too sure why that would happen.

After I installed appsync, I had issues when doing backups. What are my options? I tried syncing a few playlists and one movie and It worked, then I tried adding more playlists and I get nothing when I enter the iPod, it tells no media is installed and to visit iTunes. I used my most recent backup from this morning and got my contacts back, but no email settings.

That is something we cannot help with here. Warez are against forum rules and helping with anything to do with them is not allowed. If I had to guess though that is what caused the issue.

To add, the thumbnails in the photo album look like a mosiac picture, the thumbnails overlap each other.

That was my ignorance on that one, that app will never see my phone again. Yes my backups must be corrupted. I had to use another computer that I had synced with about 6 months ago to get back up and running. What do I need to completely remove iTunes from my other machine? The other machine is much quicker for syncing and would like to use it again.

    Thanks again for the help

Ya, you can try uninstalling itunes and reinstalling. You may want to manually remove the corrupted backup.

I want to start fresh, no previous backups. Where are they saved at? I was able to sync on my other computer and get my contacts back, everything else i can redo.

    Thanks again

Thanks again, I'll give it a try tomorrow.

I deleted that folder plus uninstalled itunes, re-installed, and my play lists are still showing up in the reinstalled itunes. There must info someplace else that needs to be removed.

Your playlists aren't in your backup. They are in your music folder.
