hey I have an iPhone 4 with Simple Mobile service. i'm great with the phone, its at 4.2.1 with 1.59.00 baseband....
What I wanted to do was like get a fresh clean install of 4.2.1 and still keep my baseband.....is it possible to do that?
Basically the reason I want to do it is cause the phone has pretty messed up network settings right now and mms won't work and I want really really badly to fix that....
Hey please help...I might have messed up, though I dont know how, I followed the instructions with snowbreeze, it helped me put the phone in dfu mode and then through itunes I started the process of restoring to the custom firmware...
but then the progress bar got stuck...it was like 3/4 the way done...and it got stuck, wouldnt do anything...I removed the device and now its like my phone is stuck in recovery mode, if I hold the power key it goes to black screen, and if I try to power it on it goes to the usb cable to itunes screen......
please help! I dont know what else to do....
Pleeeeeeeeease help....I dont know how to get out of this recovery mode

Tansup3rman u have any blobs? Try kicking out of recovery with TinyUmbrella or the thing iH8Sn0w made(forgot what its called) if none is working u must create custom .ipsw and then shift+restore while ur in PWNED DFU (use resn0w for pwned dfu) my only tip
yep I do have blobs, and with Tinyumbrella I did say exit recovery but it just goes to blank screen and I cant seem to get it into DFU....but I will try the above...appreciate it sir!
Still not able to get out of recovery and into DFU....=/
I tried the rec boot and that "exit recovery" button made phone blank screen, so I figure its turned off but the steps to put it into DFU aren't working....
Thats expected, now you should be able to kick out of recovery. The firmware is installed but Apple does not want you to install lower/custom firmwares
