need to jailbreak iphone 4 4.2.1

i want to unlock n jailbreak it.i know unlock is not still out
so to jailbreak should i go for the baseband preservation one or the other or should i wait till the unlock comes
and how to go about it?
please tell me in detail

Just jailbreak it with greenpoison rc6.1, then you can wait for the unlock to come out.

You're already at 03.10.01bb which is the most current so no need to preserve it at the moment.

i have tried it 2 times but everytime in the end phone screen turns white and there is a message jailbreak failed

Try to keep holding the home button after entering DFU until you see the scrolling text come on the screen.

I literally just used the link I provided in my earlier post, it works fine on my end. If the jailbreak fails try it again. Try connecting to internet on your computer, I know it sounds strange but GP failed 4 times for me then I connected to wifi and it worked.
