Help Restoring 3Gs 3.1.2 baseband 5.11.07

Hello everyone

This is my first time post hope i can get some help restoring my 3Gs.

I bought new iphone 4 for my self, and i was gonna give my old
3Gs to my friend it was jailbroke and unlock but I was using At&t, OS 3.1.2 baseband 5.11.07, I accidently erase all content and now it stuck at apple logo.

Right now iPhone is not activated, is there any way to restore the phone back to 3.1.2 and baseband 5.11.07. or any OS and baseband but it need to be unlock.

Make a custom firmware using PwnageTool, then put the iPhone 3GS into DFU Pwned Mode and restore using the custom firmware you just made and there you go (Unlock with Ultrasn0w if needed)

I try to use custom firmware, but I get an error when I try to load. I guess it try to check against apple server and fails.

1) need SHSHs to restore even with custom fw on any fw below 4.2.1.

2) if you have SHSHs, need to put into pwned DFU with redsn0w first before restoring to custom fw

Use TU to check for SHSHs by clicking Save SHSHs.

If you have SHSHs for 3.1.x, you may either use custom firmwares or use a stock firmware and jailbreak with redsn0w0.9.4/Spirit/Jailbreakme.

Whatever you do, don't upgrade or the unlock will be lost and you'll be forced to use the iPad baseband which breaks GPS.

Check for those SHSHs first.

If you don't have SHSHs, your only option is to use a custom firmware for 4.2.1 to preserve the baseband for unlock.
