I had jb and unlocked with comdex and ultrasn0w I'm on tmo so I need the unlock. Any recommendations to upgrade? Someone sent me a custom firmware. Is that the only way to go? My skills are fair to moderate but I can follow instructions if they are easy....lol

4.2.1?

I would suggest you download PwnageTool 4.2 and make a custom 4.2.1 firmware then shoot your device into DFU mode and Shift-Restore with iTunes.

Or use sn0wbreeze 2.2.1 if you're using windows.

Also make sure you have shsh saved in cydia.
