Jailbreak/Unlock 3GS iOS 4.21 BB 05.15.04

I have bought one from a mate

3GS iOS 4.21 BB 05.15.04
bootrom iBoot-359.3

I want to JB and unlock

What is best option here - I believe if I JB and then want to unlock I will lose GPS and battery life until they have developed the BB downgrade but I can live with that

so is the best combo Greenpoison to give an untethered JB upgrade the BB then ultrasnow to UL?

You can just use redsnow 0.9.6rc8 to jailbreak and update to the iPad baseband if you want. Since you have old bootrom your jailbreak will be untethered with redsnow, no need for greenpoison. You can also use SAM to fix battery issues if you use redsnow to hactivate. You will lose gps though.

Yep!! But I must tell u this, upgrade to iPad's bb of 06.15, there is no going back! You may encounter problems with wifi, gps, warranty. Why not sit tight until the next dev team release, just might be what you are looking for

wasn't worried about the gps and it is out of warranty but loss of wifi would be a pain - didn't know this was an issue!

I haven't seen that issue myself. I have heard of it though and usually a restore fixes it.

I thought they were working on a downgrade to 05.15.04 preserving the unlock - thats why I figured I would crasck on and JB/UL rather than holding on

Ya, they are working on it. But it isnt a priority for them so could be a ways off.
