Iphone 3g Jailbreak 4.2.1

Hi,

I have a iphone 3g on 4.2.1 firmware and I want to jailbreak. I've not wanted to jailbreak before because of the baseband problem. Is there any way I can keep updated as to when a new jailbreak will be available or if there is a way to jailbreak now?

Redsn0w 0.9.6 RC8 to jailbreak.

Yes, it is untethered for iPhone 3G

No, I figured out that it just jailbreaks it. The unlocking comes afterward, which is where the baseband comes in. I just decided to jailbreak and wait for an unlock.

Only if you choose the option to install it.
