springboard crashing? help!

hi all! i am hoping someone can help me with this.

i jailbroke my partner's iphone, but her springboard crashes when she tries to send a text. mind you, she hasn't installed any apps at ALL at this point. she hasn't even been able to sync it yet, so she can't have anything installed that is causing the crash. that is another question, but i'm creating a separate post about that.

do you guys have any advice? i would really appreciate it!

What is your device , version and what jailbreak tool did you use ?

iphone 3g, was jailbroken on 3.1.3, restored in itunes to 4.2.1 and jailbroken with baseband upgrade with redsn0w. i tried greenpois0n, but it wouldn't work for me.

Try redsn0w 0.9.6RC8 in Xp2 compatibility mode. GP won't work on 3g.
