I have an iphone 3g that I was trying to jailbreak with a custom firmware I made with sn0wbreeze that is stuck rebooting now. I could not get itunes or any software like tinyumbrella, recboot, or ireb to recognize or do anything to the phone. Eventually the battery went dead and that was when I realized I couldn't even charge the phone throught the wall or computer. I changed the docking connector inside the phone with a couple different ones I have in working phones but no luck. I can charge a battery in a diffenent phone and put the battery in this messed up one but no matter what I do I cant bring this phone to life. Anyone have any suggestions. Thanks.
Looks like you messed up your iphone by changing the dock connector. The stuck at Snowflake is due to the custom fw created by Snowbreeze, your phone has nothing wrong, but by opening up the phone you may have messed up other things.
I have 6 iphones and have taken them apart a million times. All the dock connectors work on all the phones. The connector for the dock on this phone looks fine. When I was given the phone the lcd was really messed up bright. I took it apart and the moisture indictators were pink and a lot of corrosion on the board. I took it completely apart and cleaned every part with alcohol. The screen went back to normal and the phone worked for about a week until I tried to jailbreak it again. Maybe it is just more messed up than I thought. Any other suggestions welcomed.
